Robert B. Stockdale

Robert Stockdale earned dual Bachelor Degrees in Environmental Design and Architecture from the University of Kansas in 1981 and immediately began his mentorship under Gyo Obata, FAIA, the founding partner and principal designer of Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum; the largest architecture firm in the nation.  Achieving the position of Vice-President at HOK, Robert held senior design responsibility for many of the firm’s most challenging and prestigious commissions including the Florida Aquarium in Tampa and the Community of Christ Temple in Independence Missouri.
 
Since leaving HOK in 1995, he held the position of Architectural Manager for two on the nation’s preeminent retail giants and began Creative Ink Architects, LLC in 2000 which eventually merged into the Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative firm. .  
 
Robert is past-president of the Writer’s Hall of Fame of America and has contributed writings to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, AIA Justice Facilities Review, Engineering News Record, Florida Architect Magazine and World Architecture Magazine.
 
He and his wife Mickey now live near Branson Missouri on Indian Point, where Robert spends part of each week working from his home studio overlooking Table Rock Lake.
